Ice hockey has many fans; some are more famous than others.
In this exciting new section; we take a moment to sit down with a famous personality and discuss with them their feelings about the sport.

In this episode; we get the chance to sit down with evil mastermind, and king of chaos; The Joker.

PPG: I’m glad you could take time out of your busy schedule to talk to us today.

Joker: No problem, even an evil genius takes a break.

PPG: So, The Dark Knight. It’s set in Gotham City; but as we all know its actually  Chicago. Does this mean you are a Blackhawks fan by default?

Joker: You would think so, but no, no they are definitely not the team I want to support.

PPG: Oh right, so what team do you follow?

Joker: I actually enjoy the work of the Phoenix Coyotes.

PPG: Really?  That’s an unusual choice, any reason behind it?

Joker: Well I like chaos and destruction. And any team that people complain is “destroying the league” or “robbed the people of Winnipeg” I naturally have to like.

PPG: Ok…

Joker: Would you like to know how I got these scars?

PPG: Well in the film you tell us several reasons.

Joker: Well I actually got them from my days as a peewee player. My coach was a villain, a drunk and a fiend. One day after a game that the team had lost particularly bad; he approached me outside the locker room and grabbed me – pressing the blade of a skate against me. He said “Why so lousy?”

PPG: Wait a minute. I can’t really say that I believe you on this.

Joker: Well it was worth a try.

PPG: Getting back on topic; do you have a favourite player?

Joker: I used to be a fan of Kari Lehtonen. He had a picture of me on his goalie mask; thus making him a follower of me.

PPG: Used to? What happened?

Joker: He changed masks and teams. Now he has a picture of Chuck Norris instead of me – That guy is a crime fighter, thus meaning Kari Lehtonen is on the side of the law.

PPG: So who is your favourite player now?

Joker: I am a huge fan of Sean Avery.

PPG: Avery?

Joker: Too many players are afraid to admit that all they want is bloodshed. Everyone is too damned nice. Avery isn’t. He is a fighter and ignores what the press; and the officials say and will carry on causing mayhem until he decides to retire. You see; like Batman needs me; the NHL needs Avery.

PPG: Ok. I must say, I am beginning to see a pattern here. Tell me, if you were to make one change to the NHL right now; what would you do?

Joker: Any change? I’d remove Commissioner Gary Bettman.

PPG: Oh so you are part of the camp that wants to see a change of commissioner. Anyone you feel would suit the job better?

Joker: Oh I wouldn’t replace the commissioner with anyone. I just want to remove the top of the food chain and watch the league crumble as it descends into mayhem.

PPG: Riiiight. Can I ask; do you actually like Hockey?

Joker: Do I enjoy Hockey? The game; no. The violence of the sport? Oh yes.

PPG: Just as I suspected. Well Joker; I’d like to thankyou for joining us for The Interview – is their anything else you’d like to say?

Joker: It’s simple. Kill the Batman.
