Comic – NHL 11

NHL 11 is a truly awesome hockey videogame, but as said above it’s not quite perfect. In fact it has some weird bugs of its own, such as this one where a team’s jerseys all disappear and the other equipment becomes a messed up red and white mixture. The bugs aren’t exactly game breaking, but they’re funny.

This particular bug apparently only exists in the Xbox 360 version of the game. If you’ve never seen it before, here’s some photographic evidence courtesy of a friend of mine.

Comic – Anaheim and Toronto

Where do I begin? In recent years, Brian Burke left Anaheim to become the Maple Leafs’ new General Manager. Toronto also got the Ducks’ goalie coach, their franchise goaltender J.S. Giguere, Defenseman Francois Beauchemin, then the Ducks got Beauch back in a trade that sent Joffrey Lupul to Toronto along with some prospects… So much has been going on between these two teams that trading logos is only the next logical step.

Comic – San Jose Sharks

The Stanley Cup playoffs are just around the corner! And for San Jose Sharks fans,  it will probably mean yet another inevitable letdown early on in the postseason. Gee, it’s no wonder some fans are probably bitter and cynical around this time of year!

But yeah, even though the playoffs haven’t started yet, I can see it happening, because for whatever reason there seems to be some sort of bad karma that affects only this team once the postseason has begun. Why does it happen? Does the team just get lazy? Do they lose their confidence? Whatever the reason, it always ends up finishing like a Blue Screen of Death for the Sharks.

Even as fans of two of their Division rivals, this team’s epic failures disappoint us too. We want them to succeed, we want to see them actually do well for a change (partially because we’ll be seeing them in Sweden later this year). Come on Sharks, break this stupid curse that’s been following you around for the past couple of years! Prove our prediction wrong!

As far as this comic goes: normally I tend to do a lot of dialogue-heavy ones, but I’ve been wanting to do a visual gag like this for ages. I’m pleased with how it turned out. And for anyone who wants to see the BSOD I made in the background, click here to see it.
