Hey readers, it’s been a long time. Summer is finally over, and the 2009-10 NHL Season is just around the corner.
Now for a bit of news regarding PowerPlayGoal.com: firstly, in the last article I posted, the NHL 2K9 comic from two months ago, I mentioned that we were going to be putting some more NHL videogame themed comics up on the site… and we never got around to it. The ideas are all still there, so for this upcoming season, expect to see them mixed in with any other comics that are made.
Talking of NHL videogames, EA and 2K have recently released the latest editions of their respective series, and we’ll have reviews for the PS3 version of EA’s NHL10, and – at the very least as for 2K’s series – the Wii version of NHL2K10 will be reviewed. Sadly, you’ll be in for a long wait for our opinion of the Wii version because for whatever reason it’s not being released in Europe until late October (much like last year’s game… what was that about anyway?).
OK, now for the big news: PowerPlayGoal.com 3.0 is on its way. And joining it will be an all-new Forum, on which you will be able to join in with both website and hockey related discussions.
